Provice direct services to clients and families to improve family functioning, prevent the need for out of home care when risk is due to family conflict or neglect, and facilitate return of youth home from out of home care. Each Therapist is responsible for the clinical service delivery, implementation, and outcomes indentified in each individual contract or discipline. The EBP Therapist may provide services in multiple evidence based practice programs including Safe Care, Positive Parenting Programming (PPP), Crisis Family Intervention (CFI), Incredible Years (IY) and Promoting First Relationships (PFR).
Education and experience: Master's degree in social and behavioral science or closely related field from an accreditied college or university plus one year experience working with children and families. OR Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral science or closely related field from an accredited college or university plus two years of experience working with children and families-AND-three years experience working with children and families required for CFI services.
Licensing and certification: Must be currently licensed, certified or agency affiliated as a counselor in the State of Washington under the Department of Health's Healthcare Professional Credentialing Requirements.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. The ablility to work independently. Must maintain current Department of Health Licensing mandates as applicable. Must be proficient in use of computer (Microsoft Office programs), printer, fax, telephone, and calculator. Must meet and maintain training and certification in accordance with the state contract, WAC/DLR/DOH and evidence based fidelity plan for the EBP of which providing services. Must complete the CANS-F training.
