The Fiscal Specialist 1 works independently and under general supervision to provide fiscal, administrative, and general office support for both the Department of Kinesiology and Educational Psychology and the Department of Educational Leadership and Sport Management. Duties include independently planning, organizing, and prioritizing work, providing services to faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Provide fiscal support in areas such as purchasing and purchasing card reconciliation, process shipping and receiving, process reimbursements, greeting guests, travel and payroll, and the hiring duties along with fiscal and administrative support. This position works with a variety of personnel within the College and WSU and you must be professional and interact effectively.
Three years of fiscal record-keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional requirement: Three years of fiscal record management.
- Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrate good organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects.
- Proficiency in an integrated business management system, such as Workday, Oracle or similar system.
- Experience in learning and adapting to new administrative processes.
- Experience working in a higher education environment.
