Position Overview: 

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sales Director to join our team and lead the development of incentive programs and initiatives aimed at motivating and driving the success of our nine-person sales and design team. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in sales leadership, a proven track record of creating effective incentive structures, and a passion for fostering a high-performance sales culture. 

An entrepreneurial and innovative outlook – with an interest in developing new tools, tactics to drive growth for two of our nation’s last independent newspapers – is key. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Incentive Program Development: 

  • Design and implement comprehensive incentive programs to drive sales team performance and achievement of targets. 
  • Collaborate with other key managers to align incentive structures with business goals and sales strategies. 

 

Performance Analysis and Reporting: 

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of incentive programs. 
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to provide regular reports and insights for continuous improvement. 

 

Sales Team Engagement: 

  • Develop strategies to enhance sales team engagement and morale through incentive programs. 
  • Provide ongoing communication and training to ensure the sales team is well-informed and motivated. 

 

Collaboration with Sales Leadership: 

  • Work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Revenue Officer to understand sales objectives and challenges. 
  • Align incentive programs with overall sales strategy and contribute to the development of sales targets. 

 

Recognition Programs: 

  • Develop and manage recognition programs to celebrate and reward individual and team achievements. 
  • Foster a positive and competitive sales culture that encourages collaboration and excellence. 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or equivalent and/or work experience in a related field. 
  • A strong understanding of digital marketing with digital skills. 
  • Sales leadership experience. 
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and strategies in the media and marketing industry. 
  • Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to think strategically about incentive structures.

  • MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION INSURANCE: The company covers 80% of the health insurance premium.  The plan is based on a 70/30 health co-insurance supplemented by a Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan (MERP).                     
  • FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT: This benefit allows employees to set aside income, pretax to pay for out of pocket medical and/or dependent care expenses.  
  • 401(K) RETIREMENT PLAN: Employees may contribute 1% to 100% of gross earnings to a variety of investment choices. 
  • 401(K) COMPANY MATCH: TPC Holdings will match 50% of employee contributions up to a total 3.0% of employee's annual salary. 
  • HOLIDAY PAY: The Company observes six holidays each year; New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, employees also receive a personal birthday holiday.
