The Patient Services Representative provides support services in a patient care area and completes tasks such as schedule patient appointments with health care providers, triaging patient telephone calls to medical staff, screen walk in patients, directing them to the nursing staff as appropriate and initiate emergency procedures if necessary, receive patients and check patients in consistent with clinic guidelines, providing point-of-sale service admission, distribute and collect completed medical insurance documents from patients and explain basic Cougar Health Services billing policies and procedures, referring complex billing queries to the billing and insurance office, maintaining patient records and processing patient charge documents, print and send medical records when requested in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Washington State Laws.  Washington State University is an Equal Opportunity/AA educator and employer.
