SW Maintenance Worker-Entry:
This is responsible landfill and transfer station work assisting the Equipment Operator staff in processing waste and recyclables for transport, segregating household hazardous waste, maintenance on equipment and buildings, manual labor and other duties. Work requires employees to exercise considerable initiative and independent judgement in the performance and completion of assignments, contact with the general public and the use of a variety of light equipment. Work will be performed at the Whitman County Transfer Station on Carothers Road. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work. Demonstrated ability to meet the criteria of essential functions and non technical essential functions. Possession of a valid driver’s license with good driving record. Minimum age of 18. Starting Salary: $3900 Full Salary Range: $3900- $4661 Open until filled.
